Jack and Karen: Coast to Coast

Because he said so.

This exercise made me realize how little I’ve traveled despite living in three regions of the country. Here goes in no particular order…

5 Favorite Cities

Morgan County, Ohio - You can always go home again. My entire immediate family lives there within a one-mile radius.
Chicago - Because I walked thru 50-mph winds on the way to the aquarium, rode the Ferris Wheel at Navy Pier in early spring and blistered my feet along Michigan Ave. And I still love it.
Bowling Green, Ohio - My first home away from home. I came into my own here.
Savannah - Think "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil."
San Francisco - Probably the most diverse city I've been to yet and it works. All on a penisula. The hills still boggle my mind.

5 Cities I Would Live In

Chicago - This is where I want to be. Period.
Savannah - In one of those old homes with a beautiful courtyard right off a square in the Historical District.
Baltimore - An East Coast city in the middle fo it all. South of New York City and Boston, north of Charleston and Savannah and west of D.C.
Greenville, SC - A nice city with a revitalized downtown area. I escaped here more than once during my time in the South.
Charlotte - A great city that's getting bigger. It feels like a young professional with lots of energy and ambition.

5 Least Favorite Cities
(Not really least favorite… just places I don’t think about one way or another.)

Zanesville, Ohio - Not much here except the Y bridge, Conn's Potato Chips and Bloomers Chocolates.
Spartanburg, SC - Not much here either except a BMW museum.
St. Louis - It's got the arch?
Columbia, SC - I've never felt humidity like I did here.
Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, Atlanta – A city in its self and not in a good way.
